The first
thing I did was to visit the ferry station and buy a ticket to Tunisia.
Fortunately, they weren't sold out. I was also fortunate that there was
another American there who spoke a little Italian and helped me to get
my passport stamped. A frustrating process!

01) TRAPANI | Shots
from the Ferry. The station is at the left. There are a few islands on
the horizon.

02) TRAPANI |
I never at all felt unsafe in Sicily. If the Mafia is alive and well,
it kept to itself.

03) TRAPANI | One
last shot.

04) SOMEWHERE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN | The
ferry to Tunisia. I clocked it at 18mph using my GPS. The trip took the
entiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire day and was every bit as long
and boring as it looks.
