Star Wars Galaxy Guide 7: Mos Eisley
This West End Games sourcebook is currently available from hobby-game stockists. It's comprehensive descriptions and articles serve to spice up the atmosphere of a trip to Tunisia, rather than as a source of accurate information for the location hunter. Still, it is a good read and recommended as a reference for further background material.
Star Wars Technical Journal
This book takes an in-depth look at all aspects of Tatooine, from moisture farmers to Chalmun's famous cantina in Mos Eisley. It contains plenty of large colour stills that would serve the traveller well in his search for locations, but the map of the Jundland Wastes ought not to be used for navigation in Tunisia! Some pictures are included in the photo gallery collections (See Multimedia).

Return to Tatooine
The Insider (the official fan-club magazine) issue #27 printed an excellent article of David West Reynold's account of his "archaeology" expedition (April 1995) to discover the lost Star Wars locations of Tunisia. It was this article that started thousands of fans dreaming of journeying to Tunisia, and inspired a lucky few to take the trip in David's footsteps. The Insider has sold out of all of the back issues but a facsimile is available (See Articles).
On-location: Tatooine
In issue #29 of The Insider an well-presented account of Special Edition & Episode 1 producer Rick McCallum and Lucasfilm's "official" Tatooine tour guide David West Reynold's location scouting trip to Tunisia at the end of 1995.
Anchorhead - The Lost Scenes
David West Reynold's two trips to Tunisia proved very fortuitous for Star Wars fans as The Insider shows in issue #35. In this article David West Reynolds is allowed to review the "Lost Biggs Scenes". His report provides some excellent photographs of the exterior location on Jerba.
Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
The first movie of the prequel trilogy is the primary source for Mos Espa; both the set at Chott el Gharsa, and the fortified grain stores of Ksar Hadada and Ksar Medenine. It is worth noting that the pod race stadium and course were not filmed on location in Tunisia (See Multimedia).
Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope

This made-for-TV documentary offers a vast array of alternative scenes especially in Ajim, where Mos Eisley was filmed. Another handy segment worth looking out for is the Sidi Bouhlel sequences where Luke was attacked by Sand People. There is also a very brief glimpse of Biggs and Luke in Anchorhead.
"Star Wars: The Lost Biggs Scenes"
This sequence of location footage was never carried over into the final cut of the movie (but is available on the collector's market if you know where to look). It offers never before seen shots of Anchorhead's Tosche Station. If you want your own copy of these scenes then buy a copy of Star Wars: Behind the Magic (see Multimedia).
