Hello I was wondering if I could get help with something, I know you do not run theforce.net. I contacted them about some great high res pics of the exterior sets of the Lars Homestead dome igloo that were posted on their site in September 2000, these were pics were from when the sets were still fresh from the filming of Star Wars: Episode 2, and was our very first look at them online since being rebuilt.. This is the link to the article http://www.theforce.net/episode2/story/spy_report_tunisia_set_photos_75041.asp Unfortunately, the links for the photos are dead and I emailed theforce.net and they said they have no access to them and do not have them archived anywhere. I had them saved on an older computer that crashed a while back and have been looking all over the web to try and find these exact ones, because they were high res quality and were taken not long after the cast and crew left, the dome and such were in great condition. I have tried looking for and e-mail address of the Simon Mulvey who took the trip and took the pics and posted them, but have come up with nothing. Being that some you have such knowledge of trips to that area, I was wondering if you happened to have these pics saved or know someone who might. I really would love to have them again. It would be great to have them or other high quality resolution photos of this set from just a couple months or so after the filming took place.

I thank you for your time and any and all help you can give me I would great appreciate.

Thanks again!

Heh. I remember that article! I actually read it in an internet cafe in Sicily a night or two before I took a ferry across the water to sunny Tunisia. I too, looked at the wayback archives to see if I could find anything. I couldn't. So I looked at my own archives. This is the closest I found...

...but I have my doubts that those are the photos you are looking for. Regardless, I have seen much larger versions on Flickr, Picasa, and the like. Here are a few example searches for you...

Thanks Mitch. I made the links in your post clickable and I posted the pictures in the zip on the site in case anyone wants to see them without having to wait on RapdiShare.

Thanks Bill,

I re-read the article from theforce.net a little closer and realised the pictures I posted are, in fact, the Simon Mulvey photos. I've dug a little deeper in my archives and found the entire set. Here are all of them via a new rapidshare link.

Simon says (hee hee!) that he was there the week after filming wrapped. If memory serves, this would be the last half of September 2000. I was there a month later. Quite an experience!

I added the new pictures to the album. That looks like all of them. Thanks.
Lars Homestead - Simon Mulvey

If you find anything else in your archives that has disappeared, send it over and maybe we can add it to the archived sites.

I'll have to check and see what I have that isn't online anymore. In the mean time, I've updated my own links page, so you may find something useful there as well.

Hello, and sorry that I digged up this old topic.

I´m also trying to find hi-res picture of Lars Homestead. Something like this: http://www.propstore.com/content/tunisia/tunisis3.jpg
Why I´m looking that kind of picture is that our 501st Legion Nordic Garrison and Rebel Legion Nordic Base is going to have photo stand at Model Expo 2011, Helsinki, Finland. We are collecting money for charity with UNICEF.

UNICEf is launching their World Water Day fundraising about the same time so that´s why our theme is Tatoine. We are going to have moisture collector and a back drop of Lars Homestead. Unfortunately we don´t have big enough picture that we can use for printing the back drop.
The back drop is going to be 5 meters wide and 3 meters tall so what I´m lookin for is a HUGE picture of Lars Homestead.
It doesn´t matter if there´s people etc in that picture. We have member in our rankings who can photoshop that kind of things off.

We really appreciate if someone can help us with this. Thank You!

I've never printed anything that large. What kind of resolution does it have to be?

Here is a nice photo in AceFace's album but it is only 1280x960. He might have a higher resolution version though.
