Star Wars trek: Buttercup Valley - Feb 3, 2001

After my great trip in 1999 to Star Wars filming locations all over the world, I found myself very anxious to find some others a little closer to home. My first trip would be to the Imperial Sand Dunes in Buttercup Valley near Yuma, Arizona. This is where the Jabba's Sail Barge scenes for Return of the Jedi were filmed. New scenes for the ANH Special Edition were also shoot near Yuma according to Star Wars Galaxy 6. I didn’t really have a lot to go by to find the exact spot but it was only a 4-hour drive away so why not go check it out.

Star Wars trek: Tunisia to Norway - May 26 to June 26, 1999


Star Wars stories
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...OK maybe it wasn't so long ago, but it was pretty far away. Jared and I traveled together to visit Star Wars film sites from Tunisia to Norway. The trip lasted for a month, covered thousands of miles, and cost more then we had planned, but it was worth it. I returned home with the memories of a wonderful vacation, a few small props, and some dirt from distant worlds.

Added Captcha v2.0

Added Captcha v2.0 to hopefully help with spam. Anonymous users will need to enter in a string of letters or numbers before being able to submit a comment, post to the forum, contribute a story, etc. Logged in users should never see the captcha. Another benefit of creating an account and logging in will be member albums in the Media Gallery. I will be setting this up so you receive your own album to post your pictures in once you create an account.
