Because we gather certain types of information about the customer, we want you to know how we gather and what we do with this information. The following policy explains the type of information we gather, how we use it, and how users can correct or change it.

We gather information in two ways:

1. Data that customers provide when ordering products. Personal questions included in the order forms are purely to build up demographic details on who is interested in what we offer. It is not required for the customer to answer any of these questions - all that is needed is the bare minimum of a name and postal address.

2. Online tracking information services via our Internet Service Provider, Force9 Internet, derived from page hits throughout our site. Tracking services let us determine what screen resolutions, numbers of colours, OS and browser types and languages are the most common, so that we can tailor our site in terms of style and content in order to suit as many visitors as possible.

Tataouine Tours tracks user traffic patterns throughout this site. We do not cross-reference this information with personal data about individual users. All we are primarily interested in, with regards to traffic patterns, is how visitors found us and where they came from previously. This is all contained in each and every visitors browser string.

Information Use

Tataouine Tours uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience of our products and services, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.

We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. Tataouine Tours does not track what individual users read, but how popular each section is.

Tataouine Tours compiles reports on user demographics and traffic patterns for itself only and does not share this information with anyone. All information gathered through the means outlined about complies with the HM Government Data Protection Act (information on this can be found here).
