INTRODUCTION

Another Visit to Naboo!

Having walked the forest of Naboo, it made sense to visit the city of Theed. Most of the exterior shots were done either on location in Italy or on sets at Leavesden, but for one sequence another setting was employed. Unfortunately the sequence in question, in which the Jedi have to escape the bongo as it topples over a waterfall, was cut from the final film. Fortunately it is included in the 'deleted scenes' section of the DVD release, allowing us to see another side of Theed.

Hever Castle

This is Hever Castle in Kent, southern England. Part of the castle's extensive grounds is a recreation of an Italian garden, and it is here that the Jedi alight.

The Loggia

On the edge of a man-made lake is this beautiful terrace with a fountain in the centre.
