Obi Wan Kennobi's House & Anchorhead

Obi Wan Kennobi's home and the outskirts of Mos Eisley ("Anchorhead"), are actually two mosques. They are supposed to lay in arid, desert locations according to the Star Wars script, but they are, in fact, on the shore on Djerba Island !

One side of Obi Wan’s habitation is somewhat derelict. The abandoned inside corresponds in dimension to the set constructed for the movie at Elstree studios in London.

The vegitation that has grown in, surrounding Anchorhead, caused the site to be hard to find. Even though both places are filled with mystery, and share the style of the island they belong to.
